Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen)
Tarik Hamane is today the Executive Director Head of Development of Masen (Moroccan agency for sustainable energy).
He is in charge of developing Masen’s projects and activities in Morocco and abroad, mainly in Africa, starting from the establishment of the strategy and the sourcing of renewable projects opportunities to the launch of construction through all the development, financing and contracting process.
Before joining Masen in 2017, he was the Executive Director of Power Generation Projects and Programs of ONEE (Office National de l’électricité et de l’eau), he also worked for Suez Group and for the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in France and at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Geneva in different senior positions.
He has more than 19 years of managerial experience in leading the development and the construction of large scale infrastructure and power generation projects, including IPPs, PPP and EPC projects, for different technologies (Renewables “Wind, Solar and Hydro” and Thermal Generation “including from Gaz”) in Morocco and Africa. He has also been in charge of developing and securing the ancillary power infrastructure (Port and Storage).
He is a recognized expert in the fields of Renewable Energies, Green Hydrogen, Gas and Thermal generation and in structuring IPP/PPP projects in Morocco and Africa.
