Alessandro Zampieri joined Boston Consulting Group in September 2023 as an expert partner in climate and sustainability. He brings over 20 years of experience in cleantech and chemicals covering various locations and functions. He has deep expertise in hydrogen and derivatives along the value chain.

Alessandro focuses on technology innovation and commercialization, from R&D to pilots/demos, and scale-up to pre-commercial and commercial projects. He has worked for a cleantech investment fund (Breakthrough Energy), as well as for McKinsey & Company, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Siemens, and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Alessandro holds PhD in engineering, awarded best European PhD in its field, from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and MBA from Insead.
