Andreas Feil is a key expert on sustainability in the UAE, with deep insights into Germany’s and the UAE’s sustainability landscape, including the EV car industry. He studied Theology and Chinese Studies in Munich before joining the German foreign service in 2019. After three years in the department for humanitarian affairs, he was posted to the UAE in 2023, where he acted as key focal point for the preparations of COP28 at the German Embassy.

Through his impactful Climate Talks initiative in the UAE, Andreas has organized numerous successful events on climate and sustainability, fostering collaboration with a wide range of organizations and partners. His particular expertise includes renewable energy, hydrogen, water management, desalination, waste management, and sustainable mobility. Passionate about languages and cultural exchange, he is currently learning Emirati Arabic.

As a father of two, Andreas sees his work on sustainability as both a professional duty and a personal mission. For him, preserving a livable and prosperous planet for future generations is of utmost importance. In his free time, he enjoys camping in the desert and playing online chess.
