Jayaraman Balachandar—widely recognized in the industry as "Bala"—serves as the Managing Director of Positive Zero’s Efficiency division, Taka Solutions, one of the oldest and largest Energy Service Companies (ESCO) in the region. Bala's vision is to lead the charge in transforming the region's approach to energy efficiency, and his extensive background in energy efficiency and sustainability, aligns with global sustainability goals and Positive Zero’s purpose to empower a new energy economy.

With over 30 years of experience in the ESCo industry, both regionally and globally, Bala has held senior positions at leading organizations like Siemens and Johnson Controls. Under his leadership, Positive Zero’s efficiency division manages the UAE’s largest ESCo portfolio, delivering savings of over 100 million kWh across more than 100 projects.

Bala is renowned for his forward-thinking leadership and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and sustainability within Positive Zero. He is also a sought-after speaker at industry conferences, sharing his insights on the future of energy efficiency and sustainability.

Bala holds a Master of International Affairs (MIA) in International Business, a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
