Dr. Atatreh is a distinguished business leader and strategic advisor with over two decades of executive experience across multiple sectors, including energy, construction, project management, consulting, investments, industrial development and family business offices management.

He currently serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Samsung C&T – United Arab Emirates, Samsung C&T, the engineering and construction arm of the Samsung Group, is globally recognized for delivering complex and large-scale infrastructure and energy projects. In the United Arab Emirates, the company has been instrumental in executing landmark projects such as the Fujairah F3 Independent Power Project, one of the largest combined-cycle power plants in the region, ADNOC–TAQA HVDC Subsea Transmission System Project (Project Lightning), and Abu Dhabi Transmission Company PJSC (TAQA Transmission) – “Nexus Scheme” (Power & Water Projects) – Phase 1, along with other major developments that reinforce the UAE’s commitment to energy security and sustainable growth.

Dr. Atatreh possesses a proven track record in high-level management, organizational development, and cross-border collaboration. His extensive background in leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing large EPC and IPP projects, and managing complex investment structures underscores his ability to align corporate strategy with long-term national and regional development objectives.

Academically, Dr. Atatreh holds a PhD in Economic Security with a dissertation titled “The Effect of the Credit Market on Economic Security in the UAE.” He also holds a Master’s Degree in Quality Management from the University of Wollongong – UAE, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from UAE University (UAEU), one of the leading universities in the United Arab Emirates.
