Glenn joined low-carbon energy company SSE in 2012 in a media relations role and has since held a variety of posts across the corporate affairs spectrum. He now leads SSE's 130-strong corporate affairs team, responsible for media relations, public affairs and policy, internal comms, corporate reporting, brand and digital across the Group and its business units. As SSE’s lead on international climate engagement, he represents the company in its capacity as Co-Chair of the Utilities for Net Zero Alliance, and oversees its engagement in major global summits including COP and New York Climate Action Week. Previously he established and led the corporate affairs function within SSE's retail division and worked on high-profile M&A transactions including the planned merger with npower and, ultimately, the sale of the business to OVO in January 2020. Glenn began his career in trade journalism before spending several years agency-side advising clients on issues management campaigns in the energy, built environment and professional services sectors.
