Appointed CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare in November 2023, Daniela Gentile is a
Chemical Engineer with over 35 years of experience within the Ansaldo Group,
spanning nuclear, power generation, waste-to-energy, innovation, and energy
transition technologies.
She began her career in 1985 at Ansaldo as a Process Engineer for fluid systems in
Nuclear Power Plants, later progressing through roles of increasing responsibility
including Project Manager for Flue Gas Treatment Plants, positions within the
Commercial Team of Ansaldo Volund, and Head of Engineering at Ansaldo
Tecnitalia, an EPC company in the Waste-to-Energy sector.
In 1999, she joined Ansaldo Energia, where she led Procurement Marketing and the
development of the company’s digital procurement platform. Appointed Chief
Procurement Officer in 2004, she subsequently became Director of the Project
Management Department for Power Plants and New Units in 2010.
From 2012, Daniela led Innovation and Product Development at Ansaldo Energia
and was appointed CEO of ASEN, the Group’s R&D company, in 2014. Following the
acquisition and integration of Alstom Power’s divested assets, she headed Ansaldo
Energia Group R&D from 2016 to 2020.
In 2020, she was appointed Senior Vice President for Innovation and Quality of
Ansaldo Energia. In July 2021, she became CEO of Ansaldo Green Tech, the Group
company dedicated to energy transition solutions, while continuing to serve as Chief
Innovation Officer of Ansaldo Energia
