Dr. Tariq is the Hub Digital Leader for India, Middle East and Africa of ABB Energy Industries. He comes with an extensive background in the energy sector. With a career spanning over two decades, he has established himself as a leader in the industry, known for his innovative approach and strategic vision.

Dr. Tariq has over 20 years of experience in digital transformation and business management with the following inter-national organizations: IBM, Ericsson, AspenTech, Schnei-der Electric/AVEVA and ABB. He is highly skilled in leading digital transformation initiative and help industry realize sustainability goals and objectives. He is currently leading ABB digital business for the IMEA region.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Tariq was in a leadership role at AVEVA and AspenTech where he managed a cross functional team professionals within the digital transformation business as the head of the Middle East & Africa region.

Throughout his career, Dr. Tariq has been instrumental in leading significant digital transformation and initiatives that have contributed to energy customers realization of their business objectives. His profound knowledge and experience in the field are reflected in his publications and presentations.

Dr. Tariq holds a Ph.D. in electronics engineering from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
