Johnny Obeid, currently serving as Vice President at Veolia Near & Middle East, the world leader in environmental services and the largest supplier of water services, commenced his journey with the company in September 2000. With over two decades of experience in the water sector, Johnny is now leading the development activities across the Middle East.

Johnny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut, complemented by an EMBA degree from INSEAD Business School in France.

Throughout his career, Johnny has developed significant projects in Desalination, Water Treatment, and Waste Management throughout the Gulf region. Among his notable ongoing projects are the UAQ IWP project in the UAE, Al Dur II project in Bahrain, and Rabigh 3 project in KSA.

Since 2013, Johnny has served as a Director of the International Desalination Association (IDA), a United Nations-recognized non-profit organization that has been serving over 60 countries for more than 45 years.
