Easa Alzarooni serves as the Chief Operations Officer at EWEC (Emirates Water and Electricity Company). In this capacity, Easa astutely leads the scheduling and despatch of water and electricity from EWEC’s diverse and transformative generation fleet of water and electricity plants. In addition, Easa oversees key elements of network operations, including interconnections with the Emirates National Grid (ENG) and the GCCIA Interconnection, ensuring a secure and reliable energy supply.

Under Easa’s leadership, EWEC’s operations have successfully navigated the UAE’s transition toward a cleaner energy future. He has been instrumental in managing the integration and despatch of new technologies, including solar photovoltaic (PV) and nuclear energy. An insightful expert, Easa brings over two decades of experience managing and planning electrical networks, and his expertise continues to enhance efficient operations.

Easa holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from UAE University, in addition to being certified by the University of Tokyo in Executive Management and the Harvard Business School in Advanced Management.
